As a surgeon, I'm the third generation of my family to work in medicine. I specialize in Bariatric surgery. I am in charge of general surgery and kidney transplants at the Shaio Clinic in Bogota, Colombia, where I work.

I am a professor of general surgery at El Bosque University. In my career as a bariatric surgeon, I have performed more than 2,000 surgeries in the best clinics in Bogota.

I am Co-Founder of GLOBAL OBESITY GROUP.

My interest in Bariatric Surgery led me to perform laparoscopic operations since 2008, I also perform robotic surgery, which is an evolutionary technique of laparoscopy.
